Live The Dream!

If you have worked in any capacity in the professional performing arts you are eligible to apply to live in Vancouver's Performing Arts Lodge (PAL) located near Stanley Park and the seawall.

PAL Vancouver is committed to providing subsidized housing for a mixed-income community. The PAL Community will be diverse in many ways, including those with professional experience in the performing arts: artistic, technical, administrative; from music, dance, theatre, radio, film/tv.* PAL is located at Georgia and Cardero, close to the heart of Vancouver's culture facilities, transportation, Stanley Park, the seawall, two community centres, a library and lots and lots of shopping. This is a ground-breaking project and you can be part of it. Don't wait, apply today.

In March 2004 the City of Vancouver selected PAL Vancouver, from over 40 applicants, to be the organization that would operate the affordable housing project on the Bayshore Development site. The building is located on Cardero Street just north of Georgia Street in the Coal Harbour District.

It is an 8 storey building with 99 one bedroom rental units which are each approximately 600 square feet in size. On the top floor there will be a roof top garden and studio performance space with lobby and kitchen for the use of the residents and the community. There is an office for PAL, and rooms for reading and activities. Construction began in June 2004 and residents began moving in May 29, 2006.
