In the performing arts, critical acclaim does not automatically bring financial reward. As they near the end of their active careers, many performing arts professionals badly need housing assistance.  "Thanks for the Memories" campaign is about providing a home for our pioneers in the performing arts. But it is also about saying "thank you" for those memorable moments of theatre, music, film, dance and television that illuminated our lives, enriched our imaginations, provided us with entertainment and escape. It's about valuing the performing artists and allied professionals who endow Vancouver with such a rich and wonderful cultural legacy.

PAL Vancouver's newly opened, affordable housing project was a $17.25  million  undertaking. The funds required to build the building have been raised thanks to the generous response of the performing arts community and various levels of government.

However, fundraising must continue in order to;
A) keep rents affordable for those in need
B) maintain the ongoing operations of the organization
C) equip and furnish the public performance space on the roof
D) build an endowment to ensure the financial stability of PAL Vancouver

Unrestricted donations are encouraged, however you are welcome to designate your gift to one of the four purposes listed above.
