President's Message
To our PAL Vancouver residents and supporters,
I am thrilled to take over as president at a time when PAL is in a position of great strength. It’s clear to me that this strength is directly due to the brilliant leadership of outgoing president, Mike Klassen, the strength of the board of directors and the tireless and creative work of Lynn Ross and the PAL staff. And of course, it’s a time marked by the reopening of the PAL Theatre which is central to our identity.
Things have been busy at the Cardero Street building with improvements to the piping system, the installation of TELUS Fibre Optik, and the addition of a capacitor bank in our electrical system to save us on monthly power bills.
The PAL Theatre had a wonderful run of shows in March, presented by Western Gold, and they’re looking forward to an active spring/summer.
At this year’s AGMs, the PAL Vancouver and PAL Theatre Boards will be putting forward a resolution to amalgamate the two societies. In an amalgamation, two or more separate entities operating under the same legal jurisdiction each resolve to combine to form a single entity, comprised of all the assets and liabilities of the predecessors. We believe this will be a more efficient way to move forward under one society, “PAL Vancouver.” Rest assured, there will be three directors on the new Board who will represent the Theatre’s interest and a PAL Theatre Standing Committee to make recommendations to the Board.
We look forward to your support at the AGMs on June 15, 2022.

Save The Date for the PAL Vancouver & PAL Studio Theatre AGMs
Fundraising for 2022
2022 marks 20 years since PAL Vancouver was registered as a non-profit. We are preparing for the grand opening of the New Westminster building scheduled for 2023. We are inviting our community to join us as monthly donors or support our online initiatives later in the year as we try to spread the word about what PAL does.
Tax Receipts will be issued for all donations of $20 and over.

Joe Average Puzzle in support of PAL
Joe Average’s One World One Hope puzzle is on sale now with partial proceeds going to support PAL Vancouver.

Showcasing PAL's Lobby Art
PAL's first themed group show of 2022 was on display in our lobby for the month of March. Three PAL residents chose pieces that embody the topic of SPRING.

Upcoming in the PAL Theatre
Art Show Producer Volunteer Request
Request for volunteers to help produce an art show featuring PAL Residents artwork.
Why? Many PAL Residents are looking forward to events with the community, bringing guests back into the PAL Theatre and opportunities to display their artwork.
The goal would be to bring together multiple stakeholders in the arts community to showcase and display PAL Residents artwork alongside others from the Vancouver art community in a gallery style viewing event at the PAL Studio Theatre.
Commitment level will vary depending on how many volunteers offer to help. Timeline can be as early as the fall or later in the year.
If anyone is interested in either supporting or spearheading this project please contact our office by calling (604) 620-4315 or emailing marina@palvancouver.org.
Message from PAL's Head Gardener
Dear Garden PALS,
The first of my garden reports this year…….and there’s already colour emerging this early in Spring. I hope you’ll visit our garden soon and see for yourselves.
Below are two plants NEW to our PAL garden. Both were planted 3 years ago, and have finally come into their own this Spring. The pink flowers are CAMELIA (“Donation" variety), the creeper with white blossoms is Evergreen CLEMATIS. Both have lovely Spring flowers & also attractive evergreen dark green glossy leaves. They are a wonderful addition to any garden.
Stay tuned, folks - we are expecting a spectacular Summer Garden this year!

Thấy trang làm khá dễ theo dõi, mấy tiêu đề đặt thẳng thắn nên nhìn cái là đoán được chủ đề đang nói gì. Có đoạn giới thiệu về Études viết ngắn gọn, nói họ kết hợp sáng tạo với chức năng trong kiến trúc nên mình đọc lướt vẫn nắm ý. Mình thích kiểu cuộn xuống là từng khối nội dung tách riêng, không bị nhồi chữ, nhìn đỡ mệt mắt. Phần điều hướng cũng ổn, chuyển qua lại không bị rối, nhất là heading “Cam…
Khi đọc các bài giới thiệu nền tảng giải trí, tôi thường thích những bài viết ngắn gọn để có thể xem nhanh trên điện thoại. Bài viết này có bố cục khá dễ theo dõi khi phần nhắc đến TN88 được đặt ở giữa nội dung. Điều đó giúp mạch bài trở nên tự nhiên hơn và không tạo cảm giác quảng cáo quá sớm. Nội dung tập trung vào trải nghiệm chung của người dùng với giao diện dễ sử dụng và nhiều danh mục quen thuộc như slot, game bài hay mini game. Nhìn chung cách diễn đạt khá nhẹ nhàng và dễ hiểu.
Hôm nọ mình có lướt qua một vài trang mạng và thấy nhiều người bàn tán về app 789WIN đặc biệt là về các thông tin thể thao trực tuyến. Thế là mình cũng tò mò ghé vào xem thử cách mà họ sắp xếp nội dung. Mình không đi sâu vào từng chi tiết mà chỉ dành chút thời gian để xem cách phân chia các mục và giao diện. Thực sự cảm thấy nếu các thông tin được trình bày rõ ràng, dễ hiểu thì việc đọc lướt cũng không gặp khó khăn gì. Với mình, chỉ cần nội dung gọn gàng như vậy là đủ để nắm bắt thông tin cơ bản.
Vừa mở big777 lên là thấy giao diện kiểu đồng bộ thật, bấm qua lại không bị lệch nhịp hay phải đoán xem nút nằm đâu. Nội dung cũng chia thành từng khối rõ ràng nên lướt nhanh vẫn nắm được ý chính, không bị ngợp chữ. Mình thích cái cách họ viết kiểu “ăn khớp” ngay từ đầu, đọc vài dòng là hiểu họ muốn hướng tới trải nghiệm liền mạch chứ không màu mè. Kéo xuống thấy các tiêu đề và box tách bạch, nhìn phát là biết phần nào là nội dung chính, phần nào chỉ là thông tin kèm theo.
Tôi thích xem anime vào thời gian rảnh, đặc biệt là khi có thể tìm được những bộ phim thú vị để theo dõi và thư giãn sau một ngày bận rộn. Quá trình đọc thêm thông tin về https://animevsub.to/ giúp người hâm mộ khám phá nhiều tựa anime khác nhau sẽ khiến trải nghiệm xem phim trở nên thú vị hơn. Tôi luôn mong chờ tìm được bộ anime yêu thích tiếp theo của mình!
